"The Curse Is Lifted"

This piece, “The Curse Is Lifted,” was inspired by Mayo’s 2026 All-Ireland win and the story behind it. After decades of heartbreak and the infamous “curse” becoming part of Mayo GAA folklore, 2026 finally saw Mayo lift the Sam Maguire. The painting captures that moment and the significance of the story finally changing.
